NO MORE AI PROMOTION
Across the past two years, students from Years 7-12 have expressed disappointment in the use of AI for promotional content. For example:
Into The Woods promotional banner featuring an AI background that contains a 4 fingered Little Red Riding Hood.
Campaign with QR Code Survey about Phone use created/formatted by AI I believe the College as a whole and the Student Council should showcase the creativity of our students as we are a “College of the Arts”. If elected, I'll advocate for all Student Council and wider College promotional material to be designed by students rather than generated by AI, and I'm happy to take on the work of designing posters or visuals (for example) myself to ensure it reflects our College's values and visual identity - things I am very familiar with.

Assessment Scheduling Improvements
The college assessment policy informs students that the Senior Leaders “meet in Term 4 prior to the new year” to limit the number of assessments scheduled on one day to two.
But last year, there were multiple instances where this limit was exceeded. When this was brought to my attention, I sent an email to my Classroom Teacher, and 2IC of the Maths Department - Ms. Dallimore kindly requesting to move this assessment. This resulted in the Assessment being moved to the following Wednesday (from the Friday the week before) allowing all Year 10 (at the time) Mathematics an extra weekend to prepare for the assessment.
Also, this year, the week before our “Assessment Free Week” almost every single ATAR Class had an assessment - meaning that some students had up to 6 assessments in this week. Obviously this wasn't intentional as Staff get busy which is why this can be a rare occurrence.
Email to Ms. Dallimore (2IC - Math at the time) which resulted in the assessment being moved.However, If elected to the Student Council, I will advocate for better scheduling of assessments, especially for ATAR students to ensure less burden on our cohort and all students at the college.
